Peter Diver Plumbing & Drainage is a family owned and operated business.

We have a dedicated team of plumbers and drainlayers servicing from the smallest job to renovation, new housing and contract work. Being a family business we are dedicated to ensure that all our customers - whether big or small, get the high level of service they deserve.

Peter Diver started the company back in 1982, growing from just himself and an apprentice, to a staff of more than 45 people today.

Peter & Dianne are now enjoying retirement and his son Michael has taken over the 'running' of the company (as Director/Manager), joined by his sister, Jane (Office Manager), and brother-in-law Wayne (foreman). Michael has been involved in plumbing since he learnt to walk so he has a vast range of experience in all facets of the plumbing industry. Michael looks after the quality assurance, ensuring that each of our clients are looked after and their job is completed to the highest quality on schedule at the best price.

It is our commitment to be the most prestigious and progressive plumbing company in New Zealand. We achieve this by always improving our systems, constant staff training and keeping up with the latest technology. The diversity of our staff (from apprentices to our Quantity Surveyor) ensures that every task of our customers are met.

It is company policy for every staff member to attend at least two courses to up skill per year. This ensures all our staff are kept up to date with any product improvements or policy changes that can occur.

We are committed to employing two apprentices each year to ensure there are always skilled tradesmen coming through. We are proud to say we have very low staff turnover ratio.

We are also involved with the Peter Diver Apprentice Sponsorship Trust, which sponsors apprentices through their training by providing tools via sponsorship. In turn, the apprentice puts their 'tool money' into the trust and the employer matches the amount during the term of their apprenticeship. Once the apprentice has completed his apprenticeship, and stays with the same employer two years beyond his registration he will receive a payout of up to $10,000.
